The Reborn Maker Liner is ETUDE's fine-tip liquid eyeliner, designed for precision application with staying power through a full day. Liquid liners are a specialty category; the difference between a good one and a frustrating one is the tip construction and the formula's ability to deposit color without skipping, bleeding, or transferring. ETUDE's version is regarded as a reliable daily-use option.
At $16.31, the pricing is accessible for a quality liquid liner. Korean liquid liners tend to compete on precision and longevity rather than dramatic shade ranges (most are simple black or brown). For users who draw winged liner daily, a reliable liner is more important than a complicated formulation.
A fine-point flexible tip deposits fine or thick lines depending on pressure and angle. The ink is pigment-dense and quick-drying, which prevents the smudging common in cheaper liquid liners. Staying power is typically 8 to 12 hours for most users, resistant to sweat and minor tears (not full waterproof). The formula doesn't flake during wear, which matters because dried-liner flakes are the worst thing about cheap liners.
On clean, oil-free lids (use primer or apply after base makeup), shake the pen briefly, then draw along the lash line. For winged liner, start thin from inner corner, thicken toward outer, then extend wing outward and upward. Let dry 20 to 30 seconds before blinking heavily or applying mascara.
Store horizontally or tip-down for consistent ink flow. Cap tightly; liquid liners dry out if not sealed.
Kiss Me is the gold standard of Japanese/Korean liquid liners, famous for waterproof staying power. ETUDE Reborn Maker is slightly less intensely waterproof but more user-friendly for beginners. For tear-proof confidence, Kiss Me; for everyday wear with easy application, ETUDE.
Minimal after the 20 to 30 second dry time. Hot, humid, or sweaty conditions can cause some transfer. For events or long days, set with a matte eyeshadow pressed over the liner for extra hold.
An oil-based eye makeup remover is most effective. Soak a cotton pad, press onto closed eye for 10 seconds, then wipe gently. Don't rub aggressively; the delicate eye skin doesn't handle friction well.
Water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. Handles tears or minor water exposure, but won't survive swimming. For swim-proof liner, use a fully waterproof gel or pencil liner instead.
3 to 6 months with daily use, depending on how much you use per application. Pens eventually dry out or lose ink pressure.
