The Pore Remedy Mud Mask is Dr.Jart+'s clay-mud version of the Dermask sheet mask series. Five single-use sachets of volcanic mud and clay, dosed for one-time application. The single-use format solves the common clay mask problem of hardening in the jar over time; you get fresh product every session. The mud base is volcanic clay (known for high sebum-absorbing capacity) blended with charcoal, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid to deep-clean without over-stripping.
Clay and mud masks are the heavy-duty pore care step in Korean routines, used 1 to 2 times per week as an intensive deep-clean. The Dr.Jart+ version is more refined than a basic clay mask: the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid prevent the tight, stripped feeling typical of pure clay masks. You can apply it to just the T-zone if cheeks tend toward dry, or across the full face for oily skin types.
Volcanic clay and charcoal absorb excess sebum and draw impurities from the pores during the 10 to 15 minute contact time. Niacinamide supports oil regulation and pore tightening. Hyaluronic acid provides counter-balance hydration so the skin doesn't feel stripped after rinsing. The result is a deep-clean effect that's gentler than pure clay masks.
After cleansing, tear open one sachet and apply a thin, even layer across the face or targeted zones. Avoid eye and lip area. Leave on 10 to 15 minutes, until the mask is mostly dry but not fully hardened. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with toner, serum, moisturizer. Use 1 to 2 times per week.
For combination skin, apply only to the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and skip the cheeks. Full-face application is better for oily skin types. Follow with a hydrating toner immediately after rinsing.
Single-use keeps the product fresh, spill-free, and travel-ready. The downside is pricier per application than a jar mask. If you mask weekly, a jar might be cheaper long-term; if you mask monthly or travel frequently, single-use wins.
Yes, gradually. The clay absorbs sebum and draws out partial pore content. For stubborn blackheads, pair with a BHA toner 2 to 3 times per week in addition to weekly mud mask.
Yes, for most acne-prone skin. For skin in active cystic flare, any clay mask can feel too aggressive. Use on healing skin, not active breakout zones.
5 sessions = approximately 5 weeks at once per week.
