This is BANILA CO's peeling gel extension of the Clean It Zero franchise, designed as a weekly or bi-weekly pore treatment rather than a daily cleanser. Peeling gels are a Korean skincare format where cellulose-based particles interact with skin oils and pull off as small beads during massage. This version is spiked with tea tree oil for antibacterial support and salicylic acid for pore decongestion.
At $20.80 for 120ml, it's priced for regular at-home use. Peeling gels are controversial in the global skincare community: some users see real pore improvement, others find them placebo-heavy. The distinction comes down to whether the formulation has functional actives beyond the rolling cellulose, and this one does.
The cellulose-based particles form as you massage, appearing to "pull" dead skin off. What's actually happening is cellulose fibers clump with skin oils and debris, giving visible rolled residue. The real work is done by the salicylic acid and tea tree: BHA clears inside pores, tea tree reduces surface bacteria. Use as a weekly congestion treatment, not a daily exfoliant.
Apply to clean, dry skin. Massage in circular motions for 1 to 2 minutes. Particles will appear. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with toner and routine. Use 1 to 2 times per week, not daily.
Mild mechanical exfoliation plus chemical BHA action. The visible rolled particles are partly cellulose, partly debris. Don't expect dramatic peel-like results.
No. 1 to 2 times a week. Over-use strips the barrier and triggers rebound oiliness.
Tea tree can irritate reactive skin. Patch test first. If you have rosacea or actively inflamed acne, skip this product.
No. It's a treatment, used after cleansing.
Visible smoothness: 2 to 3 uses. Meaningful blackhead reduction: 4 to 6 weeks.
Pair with BANILA CO Clean It Zero Anastatica Balm as the daily cleanse. Browse the full BANILA CO collection or Korean exfoliators.
