Abib built its reputation on honest, barrier-friendly heartleaf formulations, and the Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar translates that philosophy into a true airy-textured sun stick. It glides on clear (no white cast), sets to a smooth, non-sticky finish, and delivers broad-spectrum SPF50+ PA++++ protection. At 23g, it fits into a gym bag or desk drawer, which is exactly how most users treat it: grab, swipe, reapply, carry on.
Korean sun sticks became a 2024 category favorite because they solve the reapplication problem sunscreens have always had. You can top up over makeup without disturbing foundation or cushion. Abib's version leans light: the formula feels closer to a satin finish than a waxy sun balm, which is unusual for the stick format. That positioning is aimed at combo-to-oily skin users who find most sticks too greasy.
Uses a blend of chemical and mineral UV filters to provide broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. The airy-textured base melts on contact with skin, avoiding the typical tacky drag of wax-heavy sunsticks. Heartleaf (Houttuynia cordata) extract is blended in for light soothing support, consistent with Abib's calming product line. Not a treatment sunscreen, just a clean, reliable top-up tool.
As the last step of your morning routine, after moisturizer and before (or instead of) a liquid sunscreen. Swipe 2 to 3 layers on each area: forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, ears, neck. Let it absorb 30 seconds. For reapplication throughout the day, swipe directly over makeup or bare skin every 2 hours when outdoors. Pat any residue in gently with fingertips for an even finish.
Very minimal. The formula is designed to go on nearly clear on most skin tones, though very deep skin tones may see a slight tone-up effect. This is much cleaner than mineral-only sticks and comparable to the better hybrid Korean sun sticks like Round Lab and Beauty of Joseon.
You can, but apply 2 to 3 thorough passes per area to get close to the labeled SPF. Stick sunscreens are notoriously under-applied. For primary daily sun protection, most dermatologists still recommend a liquid or cream sunscreen first, with the stick for reapplication.
Abib's formulas tend to be low-irritation, and the airy texture resists pore-clogging better than waxy sticks. That said, any stick format sits on skin longer than a liquid. Acne-prone users should test on a small area for a week before committing.
Daily face-only reapplication: 3 to 4 months. If you're using it as your primary sunscreen and covering neck and arms, plan for 6 to 8 weeks. Store with the cap firmly on to prevent the product drying out at the edges.
Both are strong Korean sun sticks with minimal white cast. Round Lab leans slightly more hydrating and is built around birch juice. Abib's Airy Sunstick has a drier, more airy satin finish that works better for oily skin. If you're combination-to-oily and hate shine, Abib wins. If you're dry, Round Lab is kinder.
Layer with Abib Heartleaf Calming Toner in the morning to soothe skin before sun protection. For a second-cleanse routine after sun stick days, pair with Korean oil cleansers.
